Galentine’s Day Shoot
I hope you had a beloved Valentine’s day. I spent mine sleeping in (entrepreneur life), hanging out with a dear friend, eating mint chocolate, and watching movies. My daddy still gets me a single rose each year and it’s one of my favorite traditions.
Today I’m here to talk about Galentine’s Day. Any Parks & Rec fans out there?! It’s basically a day to celebrate your favorite gal pals… and waffles.
My friends Missy and Samantha have been wanting to do a best friend shoot, and I thought this would be the perfect day for it.
This sweet Afghan was made by Missy’s aunt before she passed away.
That winter sun is so life giving! How beautiful is Missy?!These sweet gals run together! These are the medals that they have earned together! My favorite are the Disney half marathon ones! They are so cool! They obviously LOVE Disney (are there people that don’t???) and have been a few times together! They’ll be going back next week and I’m jealous!
These outfits are styled by Missy. She is a Lularoe consultant! They are wearing Sarah, Jessie, Caroline, and Amelia styles. Cute and Comfy!
I was really happy to have this opportunity to photograph Sam! I wholeheartedly believe in loyalty to your photographers and she already has an amazing one that does her family portraits! I would never try to poach from another girl boss, but I was thankful for this unique opportunity to shoot with her. Sweet girls! Below is the sequence of photos for which I used Rebekah Viola’s game cards! Missy and Sam didn’t know I planned to make them cry! I can’t tell you what my prompt was (you can buy the cards for that – THEY ARE AMAZING) but you can see the results. It created such a sweet moment between the best friends. Only an act of true love can thaw a frozen heart.
That’s all for now! Have a great weekend!
